Binnaguri: There was a great commotion among the workers who came to work after the dragon fell in the drain of the tea garden. The incident took place at Haldibari tea garden under Binnaguri gram panchayat on Thursday morning. A couple of weeks ago, the staff of Binnaguri Forest Department rescued a python from the drain of Haldibari tea garden.

According to the forest department, this morning, while the workers were picking tea leaves in section 36 of the garden, they saw the snake in the drain of the garden. Seeing the python, the tea garden authorities informed the forest department. Upon receiving the news, the forest workers of Binnaguri range of the wildlife branch came and rescued the snake.

Arghyadeep Roy, a ranger at the Wildlife Branch in Binnaguri, said the rescued python was about 11 feet long. The snake will be monitored throughout the day and will be released in the Moraghat forest in the evening.
